As one of the many teenage girls who has experienced sexual assault, Audrey offers an honest narrative of how she coped with what she perceived as a lack of support from high school officials. Audrey was assaulted in a gym class her freshman year. She immediately spoke up about what happened, but felt that her school failed to support her or hold her assaulter accountable. Audrey eventually transferred to another school in her district. She has worked hard to overcome what happened to her, finding positive emotional outlets in self defense class and in playing the cello. Audrey extends advice to her peers who may be going through the same things.
